Fri, 05/03/2013

This study was published on April 19 and comes from Duke University in North Carolina. Although multiple lines of evidence support a genetic contribution to Chiari I (CMI), no genes have been identified. Researchers therefore conducted the largest whole genome linkage screen to date using 367 individuals from 66 families with at least two individuals presenting with nonsyndromic CMI with or without syringomyelia.
