This study was published on Feb. 19 and comes from China. There were 152 Chiari I patients who each underwent the combined surgical procedures: a small-bone-window sub-occipital decompression (diameter, 2.5-3 cm) and C1 laminectomy (1.5-2 cm wide) followed by a duraplasty with an autologous (transferred from the same person's body) graft at Beijing Tiantan Hospital from January 2008 to September 2009.
