The International Chiari Association (ICA) is looking for Walk Site Coordinators for its 4th Annual International Chiari Walk on Saturday, September 5.  

"We look forward to September 5 and hope that everyone participates to help spread Chiari Awareness," said ICA Founder/President Pete Dal Bello. "Since we are an international organization, the walks can take place anywhere in the world. We will also soon be unveiling a Chiari Awareness T-shirt which will be a fundraiser throughout the year."

One day.

That's how long Leslie Johnson gave herself over to depression after her 20-week ultrasound showed spina bifida, hydrocephalus and Chiari malformation. The International Chiari Association (ICA) voted, 5-0, at Friday's board meeting to make Saturday, September 5, the date for the 4th Annual International Chiari Walk.

J.B. Holmes, a pro golfer who has Chiari, hit a hole-in-one on Saturday and finished in second place on Sunday at World Golf Championships-Cadillac Championship in Miami, Florida.

Dustin Johnson made a hole-in-one on the 207-yard, par-three fourth hole and then Holmes followed with a hole-in-one. This took place in a span of about 20 minutes. To see Holmes' hole-in-one, please CLICK HERE and watch the video.

International Chiari Association (ICA) Founder/President Pete Dal Bello, who has been on a medical leave of absence while helping a family member, is expected to return to the all-volunteer nonprofit organization on March 4.

"I look forward to coming back to the ICA Headquarters," Dal Bello said. "My family and I also want to thank everyone again for their thoughts, prayers and well wishes. It is always good news when someone's health continues to improve - especially when it is someone in your family."

With a family member returning home from an assisted living facility on Saturday, ICA Founder/President Pete Dal Bello will be taking a medical leave of absence. 

"My role as a caregiver has been expanded and is very important to me," Dal Bello said. "I know that everyone understands."

He hopes to return soon.
