J.B. Holmes, a pro golfer who has Chiari, had a big day on Sunday and that helped him defeat Johnson Wagner and Jordan Spieth in a three-way playoff to win the Shell Houston Open in Humble, Texas.
Holmes finished with a 16-under 272 and earned $1,188,000 with the victory.
He was diagnosed with Chiari in 2011 and had surgery twice - the decompression surgery on Sept. 1, 2011, and another surgery because of an allergic reaction to the adhesive on the titanium plate at the base of his skull.
