SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - The International Chiari Association (ICA) will turn seven years old on Sunday. The all-volunteer nonprofit organization was founded by Pete Dal Bello on April 8, 2011, with the assistance of Robert Mislang and Jason Floyd.

"(ICA Mascot) Courage the Bear has been celebrating all week even though we keep telling him that is Sunday, not today," said Dal Bello, who is also the ICA's president. "But as my mother in heaven used to say, 'Courage is a good boy. He means well.'

This is an important call out to fellow Chiarians and those that care about them. The ICA's current Founder/President is on indefinite medical leave, as well as on leave for bereavement. We are looking for a compassionate, capable, motivated, volunteer CEO to step in and lead the 501(c)(3) into the future. Applicants can be from any location in the U.S., but California residency is a plus.
