The ICA to Celebrate 7 Years on Sunday

Fri, 04/06/2018

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - The International Chiari Association (ICA) will turn seven years old on Sunday. The all-volunteer nonprofit organization was founded by Pete Dal Bello on April 8, 2011, with the assistance of Robert Mislang and Jason Floyd.

"(ICA Mascot) Courage the Bear has been celebrating all week even though we keep telling him that is Sunday, not today," said Dal Bello, who is also the ICA's president. "But as my mother in heaven used to say, 'Courage is a good boy. He means well.'

"But due to the ICA's birthday landing on a Sunday, we will celebrate on Monday. Thanks to Courage's enthusiasm, I now have to buy more purple balloons but that's the way it goes.

"I want to thank everyone for your continued support and I can promise you that the ICA will continue to grow and help those with Chiari and the people that care about them."
