Dan Fitch, Jr. not only likes to share Chiari Awareness at home, but he does it on the road as well.

Fitch, who lives just outside of Atlanta, Georgia has built a purple Chiari Malformation Awareness Show Truck (to see pictures, please visit the International Chiari Association (ICA)'s Facebook page by CLICKING HERE).

One of the main reasons for Fitch's interest is that his eight-year-old son, Dylan, not only has Chiari but has also had two decompression surgeries.

Everett Bradford of Madison, Alabama, is an amazing four-year-old boy. He plays baseball, performs and loves his pets and family.

He was born with Chiari, spina bifida and hydrocephalus and also has some sensory-processing problems. His first surgery, to repair his back, happened when he was 12 hours old. Since then, he has had 12 more surgeries and spent months in and out of hospitals.

Everett is able to get around using braces and a walker, but a service dog could help him live a more active lifestyle.

The International Chiari Association (ICA) has had a Well Wishes Calendar since the nonprofit organization began in 2011, but a "first" will take place on Monday.

Cameron Atkins, nine years old, and Madison Atkins, 15, will each be having decompression surgery at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan. Not only do Cameron and Madison have Chiari, but they are brother and sister.

It will not only be a long day, but it has really been a long three months.

Dear readers,

I want to personally wish all the fathers out there a Happy Father's Day.

Sunday is Father's Day in the United States and I have met many fathers that care about Chiari sufferers. In fact, I would meet more of them but some are busy working two to three jobs to support their families.
