Dear readers,

I am happy to report that the application and guidelines for the ICA Support Chapters were approved today, 4-0, at a special board meeting at the ICA Headquarters in Santa Barbara, California. That means that the support chapters will be starting very soon.

Special thanks goes out to ICA Board Member Krista C. Gulbransen, who did nearly all the work in putting the paperwork together. Her time, research and writing has helped make the ICA Support Chapters, which are like support groups, possible.

Life is good for Melissa McGurk.

Many of our readers probably remember McGurk, who had decompression surgery on Dec. 21 and had a successful C-section delivery nearly three weeks ago.

"As far as the birth, everything went as well as it could for Carley," McGurk said in her blog. "She was born on Friday, May 31st at 1:23 p.m., weighing 8.2 lbs and 20 3/4 inches long. She is absolutely beautiful, with the same dark hair her brother had, but even more of it!  We'll see if it changes to blonde like Logan's did.
